Bird Murals of Harlem

Audubon is putting up bird themed murals in Harlem, NYC as a way to both beautify a community and bring more awareness to endangered birds. Earlier this month, my husband and I went on a guided tour that was part art appreciation, part fun-run. We live in New Jersey and don't often get a chance to visit Harlem or Washington Heights, in the north of Manhattan. So this was a great chance to explore a new area while taking in some beautiful art. Here's a couple highlights from the tour:

New Camera

New Camera

This month I finally said goodbye to my little old point-and-shoot Canon from 2009. My new camera is bigger and more intimidating, but I've taken it as my chance to finally learn some of the nuts and bolts of photography. I've even gone so far as to take the settings off Automatic mode and play around with Manual mode. It's been scary but I'm learning! I'm re-photographing all items in my inventory and using this project to slowly gain confidence with the camera. Shopify Launch Weekend

This past weekend was the official launch day of my Such Good Birds Shopify Store! This will be a home base for all my bird themed merchandise. Prior to the pandemic, I did the convention circuit and tabled at the Artist Alleys in pop culture-type cons. I specialized in cute sticker sheets.
